I’m writing about fishing in the beginning of May.

Target fish is Kingfish !!! The Kingfish season has entered its final phase. But we still have chance to catch the big one.

 

First, we cast the topwater plug.

I keep in mind to jerk politely because the sea wave is very big…

But we didn’t catch any bite from Kingfish.

 

On the other hand, an angler caught the Kingfish with jigging.

Which means… Yeah !! I switch casting game to jigging.

 

The water depth is about 30m(98.43ft).

The fishing boat is moving due to wind.

I selected metal jig of 160g.

 

I repeated the whole action, drop and touch to the bottom and jerk, two or three times.

If I remember correctly, my jig floating over here for about 40m to 50m.

Then I felt bite from fish.

 

My rod was pulled by fish!! I am sure that it is very big.

The amezing braided line pulled up the big fish at once.

Sure, it resisted but I caught the Kingfish safe!!

Its weight is 17kg(37.48 lb).

It was a little slim, but I’m still happy.

And I caught a few Kingfish after that.

 

 

And I restart the casting game…

Then water suface explode in far !!

I thought “It’s not a bad size one”.

I caught the knigfish of 14kg(30.86lb).

 

Ideally, I tie braided line and shock leader again after fight with big fish.

But I continued to cast without tying braided line and shock leader.

That is because I want check the durability and strength of braided line and shock leader in the field test.

 

Then knigfish chases the lure of angler next to me.

Just when my lure is swimming near it…

Is this a big chance!?

I tried to operate my lure politely and slowly, and I got a bite!!

Just as I thought!!!

 

My lure was bitten by kingfish right in front of us.

He has full power and go ahead into the sea.

The water depth is about 40m(131.23ft)

I stoped his running after he ran about 15m.

 

Also he ran straight for two times, but I reeled fast !!

And the game is over!!

Its weight is 17kg(37.48 lb) again!!

I’m so glad to catch these big ones!! But a little Matsumoto in my heart says “3kg more”. LoL

And, My fishing of kingfish is now completed in Spring.

I found good points and improvements on Prototype braided line.

This test continues to the next step.

 

And I used SIGLON PE ADV with jigging.

One of the biggest differences is DRT(Deep Resin Technology).

Fibers are densely combine as the resin penetrates firmly between the fibers.

So DRT is effective in relieving the heat when pulled the line out at once.

It’s hard to lose the performance of line.

Try to fish big fish with confidence!!
