This is the 4th generation of BMS series, AZAYAKA.

SUNLINE’s fluorocarbon with the Bite Marker System has been my favorite since the

first generation got on the market. I can assure that you will have 3 times more

bite if you use this line.

The first BMS had blue marking on clear line. I can say that now, at that time the

dyeing technology was not as good as it is now, so I wasn’t satisfied with the

strength honestly. I had used BMS before I signed a sponsorship contract with Sunline.

Despite having a contract with another line brand at that time, I used BMS secretly

because it was an indispensable line for me. In particular, it was quite convenient

when I fish slowly with soft lures etc. Of course, I have continued to use BMS of the

second generation which was hard fluorocarbon and the third generation which was

soft fluorocarbon, and the current BMS AZAYAKA is extremely reliable.

The good thing about BMS is that it's overwhelmingly easy to detect a bite.

With BMS, I can detect a subtle bite that doesn’t reach to the rod. In particular, when

I fall a light rig slowly, BMS has obvious advantages and the number of bass I can

catch can be triple. Also, BMS is recommended when you fish in reeds.

Slight changes in water depth can be detected by marking on BMS.

Also, BMS AZAYAKA is really easy to see even if your eyes get bad, due to aging and

the marking reduces stress. In addition, you can follow the track of the lure with your

eyes. For this reason, I recently use BMS also with fast moving lures.

The second and third generation of BMS had Natural clear(40cm), Orange(15cm), Natural

clear(40cm), and then Pink(15cm), but from fourth(current) generation, Yellow(15cm) and

Gray(5cm) are also added. Furthermore, the length of Natural clear has been

extended from 60cm to 65cm. Visibility has been improved dramatically due to such slight changes.

I’m often asked ‘Should the lure be knotted on the clear part?’. My answer is ‘Not necessarily’. In myexperience, it’s no problem if I put my lure even on pink or orange part. However, I prefer to make a knot on clear part only when I fish smallmouth bass in a lake where the water is very clear.
